Go to the tram stop for tram no 5 (direction Ostring) or tram no 3 (direction Saali) at platform 2 just at the corner of the LOEB department store. To buy a ticket, go to the red ticket machine placed near the tram stop. Press the button for "KS - Kurzstrecke" and insert CHF 1.90 in coins. The machine gives change. Stop at Thunplatz (5 stops from the main train station). As you descend you will see the Embassy building to your right - a modern, white three story building in the corner between two roads. You will recognise the British flag. The address is Thunstrasse 50, 3005 Bern.

On the motorway A6 direction Interlaken-Thun take the exit "Ostring". Take the right lane and stay in it. Follow the signs for "Zentrum". After the roundabout where you go straight, follow the signs for "Casino Parking". At Thunplatz - where you should already see the modern Embassy building, follow the Tram line. Turn left after 50m.

If arriving by train: the nearest station is Genève - Aéroport (Cointrin). From there the Consulate-General is a ten minute walk down Avenue Louis-Casaï towards the city centre. The building is on the left side of the Avenue. You will recognise the British flag. You can also take the number 10 bus from the Airport (in the direction of Onex-Cité) and get off at the Terroux (fourth) bus-stop which is directly across the road from the Consulate-General. If you arrive in Geneva at Cornavin Train station (the main train station in Geneva), you should take the number 10 bus (in the direction of Aéroport) from the 22-Cantons (Gare Cornavin) bus-stop. You should get off at the Terroux (eleventh) bus-stop.

 

If arriving by bus: as mentioned above, you should take the number 10 bus in the direction of the Aéroport and get off at the Terroux bus-stop.

  

If arriving by car from France (CERN): follow the Route de Meyrin direction Geneva. Before arriving at Balexert the road filters off to the right direction Aéroport/Vernier (by Interio and Carrefour) - take this turning and stay in the left lane direction Aéroport. At the 3rd set of traffic lights turn left direction Balexert/Les Avanchets - follow the signs to the centre of Geneva. After passing the Hotel Ramada Park and an ESSO garage on your right-side turn left at the traffic lights direction Grand-Saconnex and you will find the British Consulate General on your right.
